Ministry of Mines is responsible for survey and exploration of all minerals, other than natural gases, petroleum and atomic minerals, for mining and metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, gold, nickel, etc. and for administration of the Mines and Minerals (Regulation and Development) Act, 1957 in respect of all mines and minerals other than coal, natural gas and petroleum.
About the Job
Ministry of Mines is inviting applications for the post of Senior Legal Assistant (Level – III), Junior Legal Assistant (Level – II), and Junior Legal Assistant (Level -I) on a contract basis.
Eligibility and Experience
Legal Assistants should be professionals having a Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized University and/or Institute in India, recognized by Bar Council of India.
Legal Assistants should be qualified to be registered as an advocate in the Bar Council of India in terms of the Advocate’s Act, 1961.
Legal Assistants must have an experience in a Court of Law or be experts in legal matters with sufficient experience working in a government Department.
Legal Assistants having experience in dealing with matters related to Mining would be preferred.
