Gautam Buddha University invites applications for “Assistant Professor on contract for fixed duration (OCFD)” in the following Schools: School of Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Information and Communication Technology, School of Engineering, School of Vocational Studies & Applied Sciences, School of Law, Justice and Governance, School of Biotechnology, and School of Management. Details:
- The Assistant Professor (On Contract for a Fixed duration) shall be engaged for Academic Session 2023-24 only for a period of a maximum of 10 (ten) months only.
- The Candidates must possess qualifications (when submitting applications) per norms prescribed by the concerned regulatory bodies, such as UGC, AICTE, BCI, RCI, CoA etc.
- Monthly emolument/Pay:- Rs. 40,000/- (forty thousand) per month for candidates having a Master’s degree and Rs. 45,000/- (forty-five thousand) per month for those having PhD degree ms per guidelines of UGC/AICTE at the entry-level, i.e. Assistant Professor. (Candidates having M.Tech/M.Plan,/MBA/M.Sc. M.A./M.S.W or equivalent in I.C.T./ Engineering/Architecture/Management disciplines{PG Qualification in the relevant discipline/subject in accordance with the UGC regulations/ rules of Concerned Regulatory Bodies).
- A Committee shall do screening of applications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- The Assistant Professor (On Contract for a Fixed duration) shall perform all duties assigned by the University. They have to ensure, the completion of the entire examination process for all types of examinations (Regular/Back Paper/Special paper/ Repeat, etc.) for the courses allocated to them even if the contract term is complete.
- The Selected Candidates may be provided accommodation on University Campus as per availability only on the
terms and conditions laid down by the University from time to time.
- The Assistant Professor (On Contract for a Fixed duration) will be entitled to avail of casual leave of 05 (five) days only per semester.
- The Selected candidates will be entitled for availing of “academic leave” for a period of 05 (five) days only to its maximum in the entire duration of engagement for the Academic Session 2023-24 towards participation in academic meets and training programmes.
- The Selected Candidates may bring any type of Project from Govt./Corporate Funding Agency and required resources/facilities on the conditions laid down by the University from time to time.
- The applicants for the post (On Contract for a Fixed duration) should be from a reputed Institute/ University and may have evidence of published research work and teaching experience at the University/lIT/NlT Level.
Selection against vacancy shall not confer on the appointee any right of permanent appointment/regularization or for payment of other allowances and benefits admissible to regular faculty.
