About CAN:
The Confederation of Alumni for National Law Universities (CAN Foundation) is an entity established for the promotion of access to the legal fraternity for students and alumni of all the National Law Universities (NLUs) in India. It helps students and fresh graduates of NLUs by supporting them financially and mentoring them to hone their professional abilities.
The Foundation, which is a body of alumni from various NLUs, was conceptualised to help the financially underprivileged students and alumni of NLUs in overcoming their financial hardships. It aids them in completing their education and other co-curricular activities, thus expanding their access to a multitude of opportunities.
About Symposium:
CAN Foundation is trying to keep Justice HR Khanna’s legacy of values alive, by bringing the third edition of their flagship event 3rd National Symposium in collaboration with National Law Institute University, (NLIU) Bhopal and Hidayattulah National Law University, (HNLU) Raipur.
The wisest of lessons and the greatest of truths can be discovered, inscribed and passed on by using a highly prized tool of humankind, history, which indeed is the recorded endeavour of our human existence. Often, though, we forget this tool’s importance in the present age. The best way to hold on to these lessons from the past, learn from them, and honour them by truly understanding and applying them in the age we live in, is by revising these accounts of history. We believe that the Symposium will kindle much-required discussion among young scholars & the veterans of the legal fraternity alike.
Topics: 1. Legal Stalwarts & their contribution to the judicial system.
2. State Surveillance & Privacy- The Lakshman Rekha in between
