About the Diploma
The International Diploma in Mental Health, Human Rights & Law was launched in 2008 and is conducted by the Centre for Mental Health Law & Policy at the Indian Law Society, Pune, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, Geneva. The Diploma programme draws its fundamentals from the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and provides guidance on its implications on mental health legislation, policy, services, and practice.
This is a one-year Diploma programme that entails:
1. Two residential sessions in Pune, India
2. Self-study, using an open-source learning platform
3. Project submission, guided by a faculty member/ advisor

- 11 Nov 2024–23 Nov 2024 -Residential Sessions at ILS Law College Campus, Pune

The form can be filled online, or a printed copy may be completed and sent by post to the Indian Law Society.
In case of sending the form by post, it must be accompanied by relevant documents that include:
1. A written Statement of Purpose not more than 250 words
2. A letter from the sponsoring organisation (if applicable)
