DETAILS OF THE OPPORTUNITY :
ELIGIBILITY & TEAM COMPOSITION
i. Members of the team must be valid Undergraduate students pursuing a recognized Bachelorof Law program. (Note – Bachelor of Law means a 3 year or 5 years integrated
course in Law recognized by the Bar Council of India).
ii. The team shall comprise of two participants.
•Students from same College / University can participate as a team.
•Students from different Colleges / University can participate as a team.
iii. Only 3 teams per institute/ college / university are allowed to participate. (Selection on
first come first basis)
Rule 2: TOPICS OF THE COMPETITION
• Preliminary (Round 1) – ‘Influence of Social Media on Election Campaign and Results’
• Semi-Final (Round 2) – ‘Censorship on Internet is Justified’
• Final (Round 3) – ‘Digital Privacy and Human Rights’
Rule 3: STRUCTURE OF THE COMPETITION
Rule 4: LANGUAGE
The medium of communication shall be English only.
Rule 5: DRESS CODE
The dress code for the competition is western or Indian formals. Participants must
adhere to the same
Rule 7: IMPORTANT DATES
• The Speakers shall not disclose their identities and shall only represent themselves by the
team Codes allotted to them. Team codes shall be provided to each team after successful
registration.
• The competition shall consist of 3 rounds i.e., Preliminary, Semi-Final & Final.
• It is mandatory to keep your college ID cards with you at the time of debate competition.
• Use of foul or obscene language will lead to disqualification.
• Participants are allowed to use any source of information during preparatory period of
time. No book, document or electronic gadget shall be allowed to the participant during the
competition.
• Last Date for registration – 10 May, 2024
• Date of Debate Competition – 16th- 17th May, 2024
