Why Your Role Matters: 

We are currently seeking to fill multiple Lecturer (Level B) / Senior Lecturer (Level C) / Associate Professor (Level D) / Professor (Level E) positions in the Faculty of Law & Justice. Successful candidates will join one of the Faculty’s three schools – the School of Private and Commercial Law, the School of Law, Society and Criminology, or the School of Global and Public Law – depending on their areas of expertise.

About you: 

Skills and Experience

  • A PhD in Law or a related discipline. Candidates applying for a Level B position in equity & trusts, criminal law or evidence law who are nearing completion of their PhDs will be considered.
  • Capacity for high-quality research publications and clear research plans. For the positions in criminal law and evidence law, we have a preference for sociolegal and critical criminological methodologies.
  • Demonstrated capacity to teach effectively at tertiary level, including an ability and interest in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively and contribute to the School and Faculty level service and engagement activities.
  • Evidence of the capacity to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
