Call for Papers! CITIL’s First International Conference on “Gender Dimensions of Trade” under the WTO Chairs Programme [24-25 August, 2024]!
The Centre for Studies in International Trade and Investment Laws at DNLU, Jabalpur, is excited to invite you to attend and submit an abstract for paper presentation at our First International Conference on “Gender Dimensions of Trade, under the aegis of the WTO Chairs Programme (World Trade Organization), in collaboration with Gender and Trade Office, World Trade Organization, Centre for Trade and Investment Law, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Centre for International Trade Law, National Law University Odisha (NLUO). This distinguished event will feature a panel of esteemed experts, including a representative from the World Trade Organization.
This Conference offers a crucial platform for dissecting the intricate relationship between international trade law and women’s empowerment. In an era where globalization significantly shapes economic landscapes, it is imperative to unravel the complexities surrounding women’s participation in trade and its implications for gender equality.

- Please note, that attendees are not eligible for paper presentations, but they can actively participate and engage in all discussions.
For Presenters:
- We are accepting abstract submissions on a rolling basis.
- Papers presented at the conference will not be considered for publication in the edited book to be released during the conference. However, selected papers will be eligible for consideration in future publications of the CITIL.
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students (legal and non-legal): Rs. 5000/- (with accommodation) and Rs. 3000/- (without accommodation).
- Academics, professionals, lawyers, advocates, and research scholars (legal and non-legal): Rs. 7000/- (with accommodation) and Rs. 5000/- (without accommodation).
- DNLU and NLUO Students: Rs. 1500/- (without accommodation).
- Please note that registration fees are payable only after your abstract is selected. You will be notified of the selection via email.
