ABOUT KNOWLEDGE STEEZ

Started in the year 2012, by two students from NUJS, Kolkata, Knowledge Steez Edu HUB has walked past several milestones and never looked back, since then. The idea was to create a website where not only the law students but also a student from the social sciences stream and remotely located law college, can look for academic and career opportunities.

ABOUT 13^th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Knowledge Steez in collaboration with Nelson Mandela University, South Africa & Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia and Sponsored by Dr M. Zahir & Associates, Bangladesh is excited to announce the highly anticipated 13^th International Conference on Human Rights and Gender Justice. The gender gap remains a pressing global concern, serving as the foundation for numerous violations of human rights. Recognizing this urgent issue, the International Conference on Human Rights and Gender Justice aims to unite scholars, students, human rights activists, and members of civil society on a single platform. Together, we seek to and members of civil society on a single platform. Therefore, special emphasis will be placed on the contributions of students and young scholars. Ultimately, this conference aims to foster a vibrant and inclusive platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing. Through comprehensive discussions, exchange of ideas, and collaborative efforts, we can try to pave the way for a future free from gender inequality and human rights violations.

The conference welcomes contributions across various themes, encouraging a multidisciplinary approach to the discussion. By exploring these themes from diverse perspectives, we can gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex challenges at hand and work towards sustainable solutions. One of the primary objectives is to shed light on the root causes of gender inequality. Through academic research and analysis, participants can delve into the social, cultural, and economic factors that contribute to disparities between genders. The conference seeks to explore the impact of gender inequality on human rights violations.

ABOUT THE LEGAL AID AWARD

Knowledge Steez is immensely honoured to introduce the ‘4^th Legal Aid Award 2024.’ This prestigious event marks the fourth occasion in India where exceptional recognition will be bestowed upon Law colleges and Universities by Knowledge Steez, acknowledging their commendable and noteworthy contributions to society. The organizers are set to confer distinction upon the top 10 law schools, universities, and colleges during the upcoming conference in Delhi.

HOW TO APPLY?

Entries must encompass activities carried out during the last year from January 1, 2023, to December 30, 2023.
Submissions should be accompanied by supporting documents, including photographs of camps or clinics conducted by the Legal Aid Centre, copies of registered complaints along with the provided solutions, or any relevant documentation bolsters the event organised by the University/Colleges.

Legal Aid Award Ceremony – 13^th October 2024.
Deadline – 10^th SEPTEMBER 2024.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

Legal Aid Clinics: Inside & outside the university/Colleges (05 marks for inside clinics and 10 marks for outside clinics per event).
Legal Awareness Camps: Organized events will earn 10 marks each.
Conference on Legal Aid or Human Rights or Social Justice: Gain 20 marks for international conferences and 10 marks for national conferences.
