Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Law School seeks applications for a twelve-month graduate fellowship, specializing in International and Comparative Law, beginning on July 1st, 2025, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The Fellow will have the title of Visiting Associate Professor of Law.
Fellows receive an annual stipend of $70,000, health insurance, tuition remission benefits, and other benefits associated with a full-time position at GW.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Fellow will be expected to support the International and Comparative Law (ICL) Program in a range of administrative duties. These will include supporting:
(i) the organization of lectures, colloquia, conferences, events, and receptions;
(ii) the administration of the Legal, Research, and Writing Program for international LL.M. students;
(iii) the administration of the summer GW LawOxford Human Rights Law program;
(iv) the marketing strategy, publicity efforts, and social media presence of the ICL program, including updating the program’s website information; and
(v) advising students regarding LL.M. and J.D. concentrations and careers in International and Comparative Law, among other tasks related to the Program. The Fellow additionally will support the recruitment efforts of J.D. and LL.M. students to GW Law School. The Fellow will have the opportunity to engage in research and writing related to the work of the Program in the fields of International and Comparative law and to seek to publish that work. The Fellow may also assist in teaching courses within the International and Comparative Law curriculum.
