ABOUT CONFERENCE
The rapid rise of digital technologies has reshaped law enforcement, giving rise to digital arrests where electronic evidence, remote surveillance, and cyberbased apprehensions are central to policing. While tools like AI, big data analytics, and biometric systems have improved crime detection and investigation, they also pose serious concerns regarding constitutional rights, due process, and privacy. As legal systems adapt to these changes, it is crucial to critically assess the legality of digital surveillance, jurisdictional complexities, risks of data misuse, and the need for regulatory safeguards to uphold justice and the rule of law.
