Digital deception, including identity theft, phishing scams, misinformation, and the use of deepfakes, further complicates the landscape of online abuse. As technology advances, so do the methods used by perpetrators. Artificial intelligence, social media algorithms, and anonymous communication tools have made it easier to commit technology-facilitated crimes and harder to trace offenders.
