National Conference 2026 on “Towards 2050: Reimagining Crime and Criminal Justice System in the Era of AI & ML”

The Institute of Law & Legal Studies, SAGE University Indore, is organising a National Conference 2026 on the theme “Towards 2050: Reimagining Crime and Criminal Justice System in the Era of AI & ML”, scheduled to be held on 3rd & 4th April 2026.

The conference aims to provide a forward-looking platform to critically analyse how artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital technologies are reshaping crime, policing, and criminal justice systems. As crimes increasingly shift to digital and virtual spaces, existing legal frameworks face unprecedented challenges. This conference seeks to anticipate future crimes and propose proactive, technology-responsive legal reforms.

About the Conference

Rapid digital transformation has fundamentally altered human behaviour and criminal activity. From cybercrime and digital fraud to AI-assisted offences and virtual crimes, the criminal justice system must evolve to remain effective. While much of the current legal research focuses on short-term solutions, this conference looks ahead to 2050 and beyond, encouraging futuristic thinking, interdisciplinary dialogue, and comparative legal analysis.

The conference will bring together academicians, legal professionals, policymakers, law enforcement authorities, researchers, and students to deliberate on emerging threats, ethical dilemmas, and global best practices in criminal justice reform.
