Call for Papers: Solventia – Journal of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws, NLU Jodhpur [Volume III, Issue 1
ABOUT SOLVENTIA
Solventia – Journal of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws [Solventia] was established with an
objective to pursue and promote innovative scholarship and research in the Insolvency and
Bankruptcy laws. It seeks to contribute to the debates, discussions or discourses by engaging
in dynamic and advanced research, including pragmatic and theoretical analysis in the realm
of insolvency and bankruptcy laws at both domestic and international levels. It is a bi-annual,
double-blind peer peer-reviewed and edited journal.
MODE OF SUBMISSION
Manuscripts for Volume III, Issue 1 of Solventia may be submitted via Google Form
by 11:59 PM on January 31, 2026.
Manuscripts will undergo a three-stage blind review conducted by the Board of Editors
of Solventia over the course of eight (8) weeks after the submission deadline for
Volume III, Issue 1 has elapsed. The detailed information about the editorial process
can be accessed here.
We accept manuscripts year-round, on a rolling basis, and any manuscript submitted post
the aforesaid deadline will be considered for the subsequent issue – Volume III, Issue 2.
CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES
[A] Submission Guidelines
1. Solventia seeks submissions under the following categories:
a. Long Articles – 6,000 to 8,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
b. Short Articles – 3,000 to 6,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
c. Case Notes/Book Reviews – 1,500 to 2,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
2. The manuscript may be co-authored by a maximum of three (3) authors.
3. The manuscript must be topical and related to the subject and scope of Solventia.
4. The manuscript must contain an abstract of not more than 200 words.
5. The authors must follow the OSCOLA: The Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal
Authorities (4 th edition) for citations and footnotes. In case the submitted manuscript
does not adhere to this citation format, the manuscript will be rejected in the initial
review.
6. The manuscript must not include a table of contents or numbered paragraphs.
7. In the Google Form, the author must provide a brief biographical description,
including name, affiliation, qualifications and contact details. The manuscript must not
contain any mention of or reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials.
8. Solventia accepts manuscripts on a rolling basis. Any manuscript submitted after the
aforesaid deadline will be considered for the subsequent issue.
9. The manuscript must be contained in a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document.
10. The manuscript must be sent to the Journal via the Google Form.
11. A declaration must be made at the time of submission that the manuscript is an original
and unpublished work of the author(s), and that it is not being considered for
publication elsewhere.
12. The permissible limit of plagiarism is 10%, and for the usage of Artificial Intelligence
(AI) in drafting the manuscript is 10%. Any manuscript with plagiarism or AI usage
exceeding the respective thresholds shall be rejected.
