ABOUT PEITHO CUP 2026
School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa campus Debate and Literary Society, in collaboration with the Entertainment and Media Law Committee, proudly presents its 2 Edition of the flagship Parliamentary Debate Competition Peitho Cup, now with the Reporter’s Showdown. This prestigious competition invites both law and non-law students from universities across India to engage in high-level discourse, showcasing their critical thinking, argumentation, and persuasive skills.
The competition structure is as follows:
. Preliminary Rounds: Conducted online, allowing teams from across the country to participate with ease
. Octa-Finals, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Finals: Conducted offline at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa campus, offering participants the opportunity to debate in a dynamic, intellectual atmosphere
. The Online Rounds will be held on 12th and 13th September 2026 and the qualifying teams will be competing in offline rounds on 3rd and 4th of October 2026

This event promises thought-provoking, intense debates and reporting and an enriching experience for all participants. Join us in an arena where ideas clash, arguments sharpen, and only the most articulate minds prevail.
Eligibility
This competition is open to all students across universities in India, welcoming both law and non-law students to engage in rigorous discourse, test their oratory skills, and challenge perspectives in a battle of wits.

- Online Rounds (Preliminary Rounds): 12 and 13 September 2026
- Offline Rounds: 03 and 4 October 2026

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION
- The teams should register through their respective Official College Email ID OR Any other recognized student association Email ID
- Kindly note that only a maxiumum of three teams per College/Institution/University shall be permitted to take part in the Competition.
- The last date for Early bird registration is 1 August 2026, and the last date for Regular registration shall be 30th August 2026.
- Teams should complete the payment via the official payment portal and retain the payment receipt, after which they should proceed to fill the registration form
PAYMENT DETAILS
The registration fees are as follows:
- Early Bird Registration – Rs. 3300/- (Team of 4)
- Regular Registration – Rs. 4000/- (Team of 4)
- For Offline Rounds – Additional Rs. 2500/- (Debate Team of 3)
- Additional Rs. 850/- (Reporter)
Note: The charges for accommodation and food will be payable only for the teams selected for offline rounds on campus. You can pay the fee once the list for qualifying teams are out.
