Call for papers: Institute of law studies

The journal Contemporary Central & East European Law, published annually by the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, invites submissions for its coming volume (issue 2).
The aim of the journal is to publish the works of outstanding researchers from the region which concentrate on current legal issues relevant for Central and Eastern Europe. Papers concerning all areas of law, in particular adopting comparative and interdisciplinary approach,
are welcomed. CC&EEL replaces the bilingual journal ‘Droit Polonais Contemporain – Polish Contemporary Law’ published by the Institute between 1964 and 2000. The ambition of the new editorial team is to maintain the high academic level of the CC&EEL’s predecessor, and
build what will hopefully be an important publication platform for scholars from Central and Eastern Europe.
The volume will include articles (7,000-10,000 words including footnotes), case commentaries (5,000-7,000 words including footnotes) and book reviews (3,000-5,000 words including footnotes).
The CC&EEL kindly requests all potential authors to adhere to the guidelines set out on the journal’s website. Submissions which do not comply with these guidelines will not be processed. All submissions are subject to double peer-review process.
The texts should be submitted by 15 March 2021 via the online platform available on the journal’s website. Volume 2 of the CC&EEL is expected to be out in Autumn 2021.
We also encourage you to get acquainted with the newly released first volume of the CC&EEL, available here.
