The Course is organized in collaboration with Nuclear Energy Agency, Paris (https://www.oecd-nea.org/); VERUS advocates (http://verus.net.in/) & MV Kini Law Firm (http://www.mvkini.com/).
This multidisciplinary program will familiarize the participants with the basic understanding of nuclear science and technology; the functioning of a nuclear power plant; the role played by the IAEA; the various international nuclear treaties; the regulatory structures and liability regimes in multiple jurisdictions; including India’s nuclear laws and judicial decisions about the nuclear energy sector; as well as India Nuclear Insurance Pool (INIP).
The lecturers will include law professors, practicing lawyers, esteemed nuclear scientists, representatives from the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB), the India Nuclear Insurance Pool (INIP) as well as from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the OECD’s Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA).
