Call for Applications: for visiting professors at Luiss Guido Carli University, Application Deadline- 23 October 2026

With the aim of continuously fostering its internationalisation process, Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli is pleased to invite outstanding scholars from around the world to apply for a position as a visiting professor for the 2027/2028 academic year.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 5 p.m. (CEST) on 23 October 2026.

General Rules Visiting professors at Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli are required to spend a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 consecutive weeks at the University. They are invited to conduct research with Luiss faculty, to deliver seminars and to provide teaching activities (for a minimum of 4 and up to a maximum of 16 teaching hours). Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli will provide a lump sum compensation (all-inclusive and subject to taxation) to cover travel and living expenses for the duration of the visiting period. This payment will also cover a moderate teaching involvement in Luiss classes (minimum of 4 and maximum of 16 teaching hours). The envisaged gross compensation normally ranges from a minimum of €4,000 to a maximum of €6,000 per month.

• Political Science Applications must be completed and submitted via the online Application Form.

In addition to general information, applicants are kindly requested to upload their CV, provide a short description of the proposed research activity to be carried out during the visiting period, and indicate a host faculty member at Luiss Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli. Applicants will also have to select the Academic Area for the intended teaching activity on the application form.
