Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship at the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS) at Wits University in the field of migration and displacement. We are particularly interested in applicants with a background in migration research in the areas of law, human rights, labour, or gender and sexuality.
The successful applicant will have experience of both working collaboratively as part of a diverse research team and successfully undertaking independent research. We are looking for an individual with a demonstrated/emerging track record of taking initiative to drive research-related activities such as project administration, postgraduate teaching responsibilities, public engagement and outreach activities.
Timeframe: one year with possibility for a second year dependent on performance
Remuneration: ZAR 395,000 per year, plus Wits medical aid and ZAR 10,000 research funding per year
Anticipated start-date: 1 November 2025 (negotiable)
