๐ Adelaide, Australia
๐
16โ17 November 2026
The Indo-Pacific is at the centre of major strategic, environmental, and economic transformations. This conference will bring together ITLOS judges, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to examine how international law and governance frameworks are responding to emerging challenges, including maritime security, climate change, biodiversity loss, deep seabed mining, and regional cooperation.
We welcome interdisciplinary contributions from law, policy, environmental studies, international relations, maritime studies, and related fields.
๐ Abstract deadline: 20 July 2026
A number of distinguished participants have already expressed interest in joining the programme, and we look forward to welcoming colleagues from across the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.
The conference is supported by the Adelaide University Environment Institute, the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Research Unit (ENREL), and the Research Unit on Military Law and Ethics (RUMLAE) at Adelaide Law School.
