ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Adopted on 26th November 1949 by the Constituent Assembly with Dr. Rajendra Prasad as its President, the Indian Constitution is a document that accommodates and responds to the demands and aspirations of millions of people belonging to diverse faiths, socio-economic backgrounds, and ideologies. Dr. BR Ambedkar, the Chairman of Dra?ing Committee, is considered as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution which provides a comprehensive and vibrant framework to guide and govern a diverse country like India, keeping in view social, cultural, and religious diversity and at the same time, it establishes the three main organs i.e. legislature, executive and judiciary, defining their powers, demarcating their responsibilities and regulating the inter-se relationship. It inter alia lays down the basic structure of governance and the relationship between the government and the people. Thus, we have the world’s lengthiest constitution for the world’s largest democracy
