About the Journal

Privacy Studies Journal (PSJ) is a fully open access, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal published by the Danish National Research Foundation Centre for Privacy Studies, University of Copenhagen. It has an international editorial board with members representing a broad range of academic fields .PSJ provides scholars with a thoughtful and academically vigorous forum for research into privacy and the private. By bringing together contemporary, historical, and future perspectives and by keeping an open mind to potential cross-pollination between research fields PSJ sets new scholarly standards, offering an opportunity to generate insights that go beyond disciplinary boundaries.

Submission Guidelines

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • Your article is formatted following the journal’s guidelines.
  • Your article has been proofread by a skilled English speaker.
  • You have included the name and affiliation of all co-authors.
  • You have secured permission for any third-party materials you have used.
  • You have included a disclosure statement and declared any competing interests.
  • You are ready to paste your article’s reference list on the field “References” (under the tab “Enter Metadata”). This is required to allow compliance with citation-tracking services (e.g. Crossref).
