  • The internship opportunity with CARCIL at CNLU Patna has the following goals:
  • To familiarise interested and willing corporate law students with company laws, bankruptcy and insolvency laws, corporate governance, and securities laws, as well as their applications.
  • To do research in the fields of corporate law.
  • Insolvency, Bankruptcy, and Securities Laws exploratory and doctrinal research
  • Interact with legal academics, policymakers, and specialists in the field of corporate law.
  • Internships are required in a certain number- 12

Eligibility

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible.
  • Students pursuing a 3 year/5 year undergraduate law degree or a 1 year/2 year LL.M. degree from approved institutions and universities are eligible for the internship.
  • Required Skills and Attributes
  • Students must be passionate about commercial law and the many facets of this topic of law.
  • Commercial Laws, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Laws, and Corporate Governance are all areas in which students must have a thorough understanding.
  • Students must be well-versed in the various sorts of research and the techniques for performing it.

Internship Program

  • The internship usually lasts one month and begins on the first working day of the month. Applicants who wish to pursue an Internship for 2-3 calendar months may apply with the appropriate recommendation from their respective universities/colleges/institutions for the period requested.
  • On the first day of the internship, the renowned Director and Co-Director of CARCIL, CNLU, Patna will conduct a brief induction programme on the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, Bankruptcy and Insolvency Laws, and Research Methodology.
  • The internship will be conducted both offline and online (as decided by CARCIL).
  • Selected Interns will be assigned specific research projects relating to various aspects of commercial law.
  • Interns are expected to maintain a high level of discipline, timeliness, and integrity; failure to do so will result in the termination of the internship.
  • Because the internship is a full-time programme, interns must adhere to the University’s working hours.
  • The internship may be terminated at any moment if the intern’s performance is deemed unsatisfactory or if the intern is absent without the permission of CARCIL’s related authorities.
  • Interns will receive certificates upon successful completion of their internship.
  • Because this internship does not include a stipend, the Interns will not be paid an honorarium.

What is the procedure for applying?

  • Students must write an email to [email protected] expressing their interest in interning with CARCIL, CNLU, Patna and attaching their current Curriculum Vitae.
  • “Application for Internship At CARCIL, CNLU, Patna” must be the topic of the email.
  • The e-mail should be sent by 9 p.m. on the 7th of January, 2022.

Important Reminders

  • Interns will receive minimal logistical support. The interns are expected to bring their own laptops because the CARCIL has a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policy. They will, however, be given office space.
  • Interns will work on campus or online (as determined by the CARCIL) and will have access to the University library if needed.
  • The institution’s competent authority or nominee, as well as the referee who recommended the Internship candidate, are required to be available for interactions with the University if necessary.
