About National Commission for Women
National Commission for Women (NCW) was established by the Parliament in January 1992 with the mission of enabling women to achieve equality and equal participation in all spheres of life by securing their due rights and entitlements through suitable policy formulation, legislative measures, effective enforcement of laws, implementation of schemes/policies, and devising strategies for specific problems/situations arising out of discrimination and atrocities against women.

Seminar Schedule
The seminar is proposed to be held on 14th October 2022, in hybrid mode
The Venue of the Seminar is National Law University Odisha Campus.


Registration Fee
*For Teachers/ Professionals/Activists: INR 1500/- (One thousand five hundred only).
*For research scholars/ students INR 1000/- (One thousand only).
*Paper in absentia- INR 1500/- (One thousand five hundred only).
*Participation (without paper presentation)- INR 200/-
*After the last date, the registration fee will be augmented by INR 500/-.
Registration fee includes conference kit, lunch and tea.


Important Dates
Last date for the submission of Abstract: 15th August, 2022

Notification of Acceptance of the paper shall be given within 5 working days by 21st August 2022.
Last date for the submission of Final Paper: 25th September, 2022 Notification of Acceptance of the paper shall be given within 10 working days by 5th October 2022.
Last date for registration: 10th October,2022

    General Guidelines
    1.Submissions are to be made in Electronic (MS Word format) form only and are to be sent to [email protected].
    2. The subject of the mail should be: CWL Seminar_ Author’s Name_Title of the Research Paper. 3. Each paper must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 250 words and the maximum length of the paper should not be more than 6000 words. (Table, illustrations, charts, figures, etc. should be placed within the text at appropriate places.)
    4. Citation/ referencing should be as per OSCOLA style.
  5. Submissions must contain a cover letter indicating the name of the author/s, name of the Institution, Designation, Email Id and Contact Number.
  6. Text Specifications:
    a. Font: Times New Roman b. Size: 12
    c. Line spacing: 1.5
    d. Margin: 1 inch on each side
  7. Footnotes Specifications:
    a) Font: Times New Roman b) Size: 10
    c) Line Spacing: 1
    8.Plagiarism in any form is strictly forbidden.
    Scheme of the Seminar
    The Seminar shall be held in Hybrid Mode (Physical and Virtual) to ensure more and pan India participation from people. This would help us get more divergent views from people across the country.
    We would provide incentives to scholars by providing appreciations certificates to the following:
    Best paper Submitted on the theme
    Best paper Presentation – Overall
    Best Paper presented in each Technical Session
    Format of the Seminar
    Format of the Research Paper Cover Letter Title of the paper (Bold) Abstract (250 words) Key words (A maximum of 5) Introduction References
    Note- All the authors must send the declaration that the paper is original research work and has not been sent elsewhere for publication or presented in any conference/seminar.
    Best Paper certificate
    The authors of selected papers (received upto the last date of submission, following all the rules and with requisite seminar fee) as recommended after peer review, one from each session pertaining to the theme shall be awarded with best paper certificate.
