About the Job

Hike is hiring for a Legal Consultant (Contractual, Remote)

Eligibility and Experience

  • Self-starter with a solution-oriented attitude.
  • An LLB graduate having at least 4+ years of relevant legal experience, including experience in commercial contracts, technology laws. Preference will be given to candidates (i) having relevant start-up experience and/or (ii) being a qualified Company Secretary (SC) with secretarial experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the business by providing advice on business transactions and contracts, agreements as well as laws pertaining to gaming, technology, IT, IP, privacy and dispute resolution.
  • Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts.
  • Manage end to end contract lifecycle tools.
  • Manage IPR portfolio.
  • Indulge in fact finding and responding to notices received from cyber cells and other departments.
  • Assist in providing legal support to day to day projects and collaborate with members of product, engineering, people, recruitment and marketing business teams on various legal issues.
  • Participate in due diligence and in fund raising transactions.
  • Perform the following duties if you are a CS:
    • Ensure overall compliance with the Companies Act and Secretarial Standards.
    • Assist in drafting of notices and agendas for Board Meetings, preparation of documents for Directors/ KMPs, Board Report.
    • Maintain Statutory Registers, Minutes, other files of the Company and assist in preparation of Compliance Sheet for complying with Company Law, FEMA and regulations.
    • File forms (including FC-GPR, FC-TRS), returns with ROC/RBI; assist in preparing various forms and draft responses to be filed with RBI and assist in other audit requirements.
