Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow was established in 2005, and since then, it has been home to providing an excellent environment to impart and disseminate knowledge of law and justice. The University has been in the process of striving for academic and professional excellence in diverse fields of legal studies. With students being admitted from all parts of the country, RMLNLU is considered among the top law schools in the country. The student community has won laurels and has given remarkable performance consistently, be it at conquering national or international moot court competitions, sports, debates, or actively participating in seminars.

About the Seminar

Gender Champions of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University is organising a National Level Seminar on ‘Menstrual Health Management’ (MHM). Every month, 1.8 billion people worldwide menstruate. Millions of these girls, women, transgender persons, and non-binary people struggle to regulate their menstrual cycle in a respectful and healthy manner. Menstrual health and hygiene demands might be unfulfilled due to gender inequity, discriminatory social norms, cultural taboos, poverty, and a lack of basic amenities such as bathrooms and sanitary products.

Call for Papers

  • This in-person conference seeks research, academic and working papers on the multidisciplinary subject of Menstrual Health Management. Presented Papers will be considered for publication with a reputed publisher. There will be a prize for ‘Best Presenter’ and a Certificate of Presentation to all the presenters. The themes for the seminar include but are not limited to:
  • Menstrual Health and Human Rights Right to Health and Menstrual Health
  • Menstrual Health and Mental Health, PMDD as Insanity Defence
    Menstrual Health and Laws: Fundamental Rights, IPR, Environment, Labour Laws
  • Menstruation and Society – Chaupadi Pratha, Period Leaves
  • Menstruation and the Environment – Sustainable Menstruation
  • Menstruation and Economics – Period Poverty, Pink Tax
  • Menstrual Health Management and the IT- Period Tracking Apps and the related concerns
  • Menstrual Health Management and Educational Institutions

Guidelines

Guidelines for Abstract

  • Abstracts should not exceed 350 words.
  • Format: Times New Roman, 12, Line spacing 1.5, Alignment ‘justify’ , word format.
  • Include maximum 5 keywords.
  • Abstract should mention the following specific details on the front page:
  • Name of the Author
  • Affiliation
  • Designation
  • Contact Number
  • Email Id
  • Title of the Submission

Guidelines for Papers

  • Length of full paper: 2,500 – 5,000 words
    Format: Times New Roman, 12, Line spacing 1.5, Alignment ‘justify’, word format
    Footnotes: Font ‘Times New Roman’,
    Font Size 10, line spacing 1.5 Follow the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th Edition) for footnoting.
    Submissions must be original and not yet published.
    Co-authorship is allowed.
    All authors must register separately

  • The registration fee is as follows:
  • For Students – Rs. 1,000/-
  • For Academia and Professionals – Rs. 1,500/-
  • RMLNLU faculty & students – No fee

Each Author must pay and register individually.

Accept terms and conditions and proceed.

Fill the required details.
Write ‘National Seminar on Menstrual Health Management’ in the Name of the Event tab.
Proceed with the payment and download the receipt.
