Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU): Ph.D. Admission For The Academic Year 2023: Apply By 6th April 2023

What Is DNLU?

Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University Act No. 24 of 2018 established the Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, in 2018. DNLU is inviting applications for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for the Academic Year 2023 in Law, Political Science, Economics and English.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria For Admission To a PhD Programme In Law?

For the PhD. Programme in Law:

Master’s Degree in Law with at least 55% aggregate; an equivalent grade point from an Indian University recognised by UGC; or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).
Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme in Law with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution may be eligible. Those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) may be allowed a relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade.

Note: The number of seats for admission will be decided based on the suitability of the candidates and the total number of available seats in the University based on the vacancies with the eligible faculty supervisors.

What Is The Application Process?

Application Fee: Rs.3,000/- shall be charged as application fees from the candidates applying for admission (Rs.1500/- in case of SC/ST). The application fee must be paid online to the account of the University.

The University shall conduct a ‘DNLU National Level Entrance Test – DNLET’ to enrol candidates on the PhD programme.

Note: a) On the application’s cover, kindly write “Application for Admission to PhD. Degree 2023.

b) JRF awardees of the UGC in the relevant subject are exempt from the DNLET and may directly appear for the interview. UGC-NET-qualified candidates in the relevant subject are not exempt from the DNLET.
