Concept Note: The emergence of AI is reshaping the legal field, with implications for rights, duties, and obligations. There is a lack of authoritative work in jurisprudence that considers AI, but judicial precedent is starting to emerge. AI is recognized as both a creator and an infringer of human rights, and there are grey areas regarding state interests, democracy, and civil liberties. The Centre for Human Rights, Bennett University (India) and the School of Law, University of Bradford (UK) are hosting an international conference to explore the intersection between AI and human rights.
