THEMES FOR GIRC 2023-24 BUILDING SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Successes, Challenges and the Way Forward

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all developed and developing countries in a global partnership to address global inequalities and inequities. The Colloquium, therefore, would bring together researchers and experts from different disciplinary backgrounds to shed light on the successes, failures and future prospects of achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). All the 17 SDGs may be broadly categorized into a few groups.
