Importance of the theme:
Every year, the 21st of August is celebrated as World Senior Citizen Day. This is the day when the whole world stands together in respect of elders. On this particular day, every problem related to senior citizens is discussed, their experiences are shared and solutions are found. The occasion also gives an opportunity to the youth to appreciate them for their services, achievements and dedication towards family and country.
Major sub-themes are:
– Constitution of India and Senior Citizens
– Socio-Legal Status and Norms towards Senior Citizens
– Safeguards for Senior Citizens in the Indian Legal System
– International Convention and Senior Citizens
– Implementation of Welfare Schemes to Senior Citizens
– Old age home and Senior Citizens
– The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007
– Right to Maintenance of Senior Citizens
– Economic & Health Issues
– Social Security
All the Academicians, Scholars and students are invited to participate and contribute their research work by sending an abstract of not more than 250 words latest by 10th August 2023 to [email protected].
Interested participants may send their full research paper on the given E-mail ID on or before the last date of registration. Selected research papers will be published in a book with ISBN.
