About Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur ,The Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the year 2018 by Madhya Pradesh National University Act24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause of legal education and achieving excellence as a university for imparting value-based legal education.The university emphasis learning advocacy skills with professional ethics by providing suitable simulation exercises. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of MP High Court is the Chancellor of the university.

The Centre for Research in Environmental Law (CREL) is an endeavour of the Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur, M.P., India to respond to the need for legal scholarship and research in the areas of environmental law. The Centre strives to promote outstanding research in Environmental Law. In lieu of this, CREL through its various initiatives, programmes and platform provides an opportunity for all the legal and social science fraternity and environment enthusiasts to share their experiences and opinion on contemporary issues of Environmental concern.

3. ABOUT CEERA

The Centre for Environmental Law Education, Research and Advocacy (CEERA) established in 1997 is a research centre that focuses on research and policy advocacy in the field of environmental law. Building an environmental law database, effectively networking among all stakeholders, undertaking training and capacity development exercises, providing consultancy services and building an environmental law community are CEERA’s main objectives. It enjoys the support of the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Change, other Ministries, international organisations, the Bar and the Bench in India.

4. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Two-Day Interdisciplinary International Conference on “Human-Animal Conflict and Compensation” in collaboration with CEERA, NLSIU.” The conference aimed to provide a platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from various disciplines to explore and discuss the complexities surrounding human-animal conflicts and the importance of compensation in mitigating the impact on both humans and animals. It would throw light on various aspects of human-animal conflicts, compensation mechanisms, and legal frameworks. It will highlight need for comprehensive policies that prioritize both human and animal welfare while maintaining ecological balance.

6. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION
– Participants may register for the conference as an Author or Delegate/Observer. Since it is an interdisciplinary international conference thus the attendees from any field can participate in the conference having exposure to law or the environment.
– All the Participants are required to register and for authors they are required to fill seperate google from for the Abstract Submisison.
– Abstracts of 350-500 words (excluding key words), on the above- mentioned themes are invited, submitted as Word (.doc/.docx) documents, with a separate file containing the name, e-mail id, and designation of the author(s) and contact details.
– All abstracts shall contain between 4-5 keywords.
– All Abstracts to be shared through a google form on or before August 20th, 2023.
– There shall be a maximum of only Three Authors for each Article / Essay, and all participants are permitted to enjoin as co-author to a maximum of one Article/ Essay only.
– Potential contributors are required to adhere to a uniform mode of citation. Submissions accepted.

Authors may be expected to revise their abstracts and full essay/article submission based on reviews and comments received from the review-cum-editorial board. Contributors who are unable to travel to India would be accommodated through videoconferencing.
Publication in the book having ISBN No. Publication fee shall be charged separately post acceptance of the complete manuscript.
Best two papers shall be awarded honourarium of Rs.5000 and Rs. 3000 respectively.
