About the African Development Bank

Established in 1964, the African Development Bank is the premier pan-African development institution, dedicated to promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. With 81 member states, including 54 in Africa (Regional Member Countries), the Bank plays a vital role in delivering financial and technical support for transformative projects that aim to reduce poverty through inclusive and sustainable economic growth. The Bank’s strategic objectives for the Ten-Year Strategy (2023 – 2032) focus on key areas such as energy, agro-business, industrialization, integration, and improving the quality of life for Africa’s people. The Internship program is a crucial part of the Bank’s Talent Management Framework, contributing to the Ten-Year Strategy and High 5s.

It’s important to note that while the internship provides valuable experience, it does not guarantee immediate employment with the Bank.
