By analysing the legal systems of the world and comparing them with one another, we identify and develop solutions for the law of tomorrow. The law library at our Institute is Europe’s largest specialized library, each year attracting around 1,000 visitors from more than fifty countries to do research in Hamburg. Internationality and intellectual curiosity are hallmarks of the day-to-day activities of the 155 members of our Institute’s research and support staff.
