Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure effective litigation handling and management of arbitration, civil, criminal, labour, property and other litigation cases.
  • Thorough knowledge of IBC, labour law, Negotiable Instruments Act and all commercial litigation legislations/ provisions
  • Assisting in qualitative review of the pleadings, preparation of strategy, timely filing of cases and monitoring their progress..
  • Collating correspondence and other relevant documents relating to litigation and oversee preparation of litigation files meticulously.
  • Ensure regular updating of litigation tracker.
  • Assisting the Senior Legal Counsel in drafting of pleadings, applications and replies thereto for ongoing and fresh matters, including, preparation of plaint, written statements, interlocutory applications, replies, etc;
  • Assisting in briefing Senior Advocates/ external counsels for urgent reliefs in a time-bound manner;
  • Assisting in conducting legal research to develop arguments to be presented before different forum/ Bench/ courts.
  • Preparing case law analysis for opinion writing and guiding the direction of the proceedings.
  • Ensure adequacy and timeliness in all litigation matters
  • Implements best-practices in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property, data privacy, IT, litigation and/or M&A.

Education Qualification

  • LL.B with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience
  • A stint in Media & Entertainment or Information Technology industry shall be an added advantage.
  • A stint as working as a in house counsel shall be an added advantage.

  • Strong commercial acumen
  • ability to identify risks, issues, and solutions.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritise complex and often interrelated tasks
  • Good team player, collaborative style of working
