The current call for papers is to bring forth a special Silver Jubilee Edition edition “Lekha”
to commemorate the “Access to Justice Conclave, July 2023”, held at Ramaiah College of
Law, Bengaluru.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES :
1. Theme: Access to Justice.

a) Role of Law Colleges
● Promoting access to justice through legal education and training.
● The challenges faced by law schools in promoting access to justice.
● Collaboration of law schools with other stakeholders to promote access to justice.
b) Technology
● The role of technology in promoting access to justice, such as through online legal
resources and platforms.
● The challenges faced in using technology to promote access to justice, such as the
digital divide and lack of awareness.
● The use of technology to overcome the challenges faced by marginalized
communities in accessing justice.
c) LGBTIQA+ Community
● The challenges faced by the LGBTIQA+ community in accessing justice, such as
discrimination and violence.
● The role of the legal system in protecting the rights of the LGBTIQA+ community.
● Accessing the legal system to challenge discrimination and violence against the
LGBTIQA+ community.
d) Divyang Community
● The challenges faced by the Divyang community in accessing justice, such as
inaccessible legal infrastructure and lack of awareness of legal rights.
● The role of the legal system in protecting the rights of the Divyang community.
● How the legal system can be used to challenge discrimination and violence against the
Divyang community.
e) Farmers
● The challenges faced by farmers in accessing justice, such as land disputes and debt
traps.
● The role of the legal system in protecting the rights of farmers.
● Accessing the legal system to challenge the exploitation of farmers by corporations
and other powerful actors.
2. Word Limit: 3,000 – 6,000 words (all word limits are exclusive of footnotes)
3. Abstract:
The article should be preceded by an abstract of not more than 250 words.
4. Authorship:
Submissions are invited from students, academicians, research scholars and practitioners of
law. Co-authorship up to a maximum of two authors is permitted.
5. Citation Style:
The article shall adhere to OSCOLA 4th edition.
Important Dates:
• Last date for submission of abstract and full paper: December 30th 2023.
• Intimation of selected articles: January 31st 2024.
• Tentative date of release of publication: March 2024.
