CALL FOR PAPER : “Transgender and Laws: from International and National Perspective”. SUBMITTED -30th DEC

Unique Angles & Reader Benefits :
The book is unique in its own ways and would be beneficial to the readers in multiple
forms.
The Transgender community is a neglected and oppressed section of society
which has not been thoroughly addressed academically. The present book will
tackle the issues and concerns of this community.
The Transgender section of society has always been a part of LGBT
community and hence not exclusively dealt with. This work will highlight the
concerns of this section separately from homosexual community (LGBT).
Children and Youth has always been the concern for researchers, however,
transgender children, their psychological and physiological issues are seldom
treated separately. The reader will benefit himself as the present literature will
deal exclusively with these angles as well.
The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 is comparatively a
new law which needs to be studied critically. The book takes the initiative of
assessing the law as well as role of judiciary in promoting transgender rights
movement in India.
The reader will get a comparative analysis, with international law like
Yogyakarta Principles, Laws of Argentina, USA etc., so as to know the Indian
standings viz-a-viz international standards.
