CALL FOR PAPERS :
The Munich Summer Institute 2024 will take place as an in-person event (no hybrid meeting) in Munich. The Munich
Summer Institute will be preceded by the third MSI Ph.D. Workshop on May 21, 2024. A best Ph.D. student paper
award will be awarded during the MSI conference dinner.
Overview
The Summer Institute will focus on three areas:
• Digitalization, Strategy and Organization (chairs: Tobias Kretschmer and Christian Peukert),
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship (chairs: Dietmar Harhoff, Joachim Henkel and Hanna Hottenrott),
• Law & Economics of Intellectual Property, Innovation & Digitalization (chairs: Stefan Bechtold and Imke Reimers)
Paper submission procedure :
Researchers who would like to present a paper are invited to submit their paper online by February 15, 2024, at
http://editorialexpress.com/conference/msi2024. The Munich Summer Institute only considers papers which have not
been published or accepted for publication at the date of submission. Paper selections will be announced in late
March 2024. The program of the Munich Summer Institute will be available in April 2024. All accepted papers will be
made available to all participants in mid-May 2024. Researchers who would like to attend the Munich Summer Institute without giving a presentation should contact one of the organizers by April 15, 2024.

Call for Participants: MSI Ph.D. Workshop 2024
May 21, 2024 :
On May 21, 2024 – the day before the 2024 Munich Summer Institute begins – the MSI will organize its third Ph.D.
Workshop. The workshop is open to all Ph.D. students and post doctorates, though preference will be given to advanced Ph.D. students.
The workshop will cover the MSI’s three focus areas:
• Digitalization, Strategy and Organization
• Innovation and Entrepreneurship
• Law & Economics of Intellectual Property, Innovation & Digitalization
Application :
Please apply to the workshop by submitting a working paper or extended abstract and a CV at http://editorialexpress.com/conference/msi2024 no later than February 15, 2024 (select “Ph.D. Workshop” under “Area”). Please note
that you can either apply to the Munich Summer Institute or the MSI Ph.D. Workshop, not both. We will confirm
acceptance in mid-March 2024. A full paper is due by April 15, 2024.
