CALL FOR PAPERS – ON International Law: Crisis, Conflict and Cooperation 31st Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Society of International Law. deadline -12th FEB.

Submission of Paper Proposals

Those proposing a paper for presentation at the Conference should use the online form at Paper Proposal ANZSIL 2024 or http://jotform.com/anzsil2024/paper to submit:

  • an abstract of no more than 250 words; and
  • a biographical note of no more than 200 words (for inclusion in the Conference program)

Submission of Panel Proposals

Those proposing to convene a panel at the Conference should use the online form at Panel Proposal ANZSIL 2024 or http://jotform.com/anzsil2024/panel to submit:

  • a synopsis of no more than 250 words, explaining the rationale and theme of the panel; and
  • for each of the two to four panellists:
    – an abstract of no more than 250 words; and
    – a biographical note of no more than 200 words (for inclusion in the Conference program)

Where not all panellists are confirmed by the closing date for submissions, please provide as many details as possible on the above form.

Process and Dates

The closing date for proposals is Monday, 12 February 2024. The Organising Committee will endeavour to inform applicants of the outcome of their proposals by mid-March 2024. All presenters will be required to register for the Conference by early May to be included in the final Conference program. Further information about the Conference, including program and registration details, will be made available on the ANZSIL website at anzsil.org.au/events in due course.

Conference Fee

The conference fee will be confirmed in early 2024. We anticipate charging a fee of approximately AU$450 for ANZSIL members for the full conference.

Alice Edwards Breakthrough Researcher Award 2024

Applications are now open for the Alice Edwards Breakthrough Researcher Award 2024.  This award is designed to assist one or two early career researchers or PhD students to present at the 31st ANZSIL Annual Conference. Details, including eligibility and benefits, are available here.
