ABOUT CONFERENCE :

The Centre for Trafficking, Exploitation and Modern Slavery Studies (TEAMS) at the Hume
Institute for Postgraduate Studies, in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights Law and
Policy (CHRLP) at REVA University, is delighted to announce the annual Serious and Organised
Crime Conference, scheduled to be held virtually on 18th May 2024.
Building upon the success of previous conferences, this year’s event aims to cast a broader
net, inviting submissions from diverse disciplines to enrich discussions and insights into
tackling serious and organised crime.

Themes :
The Serious and Organised Crime Conference 2024 serves as a critical platform for
interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration aimed at comprehensively addressing the
multifaceted nature of serious and organised crime. In continuation of our commitment to
fostering innovation and knowledge exchange, this year’s conference endeavours to explore
a broad spectrum of issues, inviting contributions from diverse fields of expertise.
Under the overarching theme of “Understanding and Responding to Contemporary Challenges
in Serious and Organised Crime: Societal Concerns and Enforcement Considerations,” the
conference seeks to address the complexities involved in various dimensions of criminal
activities while facilitating the development of effective strategies for understanding,
prevention, intervention, and mitigation.
