Call for Applications! for the post of Postdoctoral Researcher – Digital Responsibility! at J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics!

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, specific purpose position as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at the University of Galway, Ireland. The University of Galway is a university with a strong focus on research, and a growing international profile, ranking among the top 1% of universities in the world.

This position is funded by LERO, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software and is available from 1st July 2024 to contract end date of 30th June 2026.

Salary:

Postdoctoral Researcher salary scale €43,907 – €56,202 per annum, (subject to the project’s funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts. The default position for all new public sector appointments is the 1st point of the salary scale. This may be reviewed, and consideration afforded to appointment at a higher point on the payscale (subject to the project’s funding limitations), where evidence of prior years’ equivalent experience is accepted in determining placement on the scale above point 1, subject to the maximum of the scale.

Closing date for receipt of applications is 17:00 (Irish Time) on 14th June 2024. It will not be possible to consider applications received after the closing date.

Essential Requirements:

• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in information systems, economics, management, finance, computer science or equivalent.

• Experience in an area of relevance to digital responsibility.

• Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• An active research profile and track record of publications.

• Strong coordination, organisational and management skills.

• Evidence of strong quantitative and/or qualitative skills.
