RGSOIPL
The Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, the first of its kind in the IIT system was set up in 2006. The basis of the School is to cater to the need for lawyers with technical expertise. We see ourselves as a part of the global endeavor to integrate technology and law to build technical lawyers with expertise to deal with the legal issues in the interface of technology and law. As such we are the only Law School with a technology focus.
ABOUT MCIP 3.0?
With most of the research conferences and gatherings aimed toward undergraduates or research scholars, we come across a dearth of research platforms for students at the master’s level. Such a dearth is unfortunate, as it
indicates our failure as a society to capitalize on the expertise of the master’s students. The master’s conference of Intellectual Property (MCIP) aims to be the first to provide a research platform dedicated solely to master’s students.
After the successful response on MCIP 1.0 and MCIP 2.0, both at national and international level, we received significant positive feedback. So, we are pleased to announce MCIP 3.0, under the theme “IP AND YOUTH: ADVOCATING FOR INNOVATIONS.” The theme is inspired by the WIPO, celebrating World Intellectual Property Day. We, also through MCIP 2023, focus on celebrating the “can do” attitude of marginalized communities and women inventors, creators, and entrepreneurs worldwide and their groundbreaking work.
The uniqueness of the conference is that it is open to all interdisciplinary PG students, Research scholars, Industry, and Faculty. We strive to give a platform to all aspiring lawyers, engineers, scientists, philosophers, and every other domain with which the theme has a direct or indirect connection so that they can advance their unique ideas.
