The South Asia Reproductive Justice and Accountability Initiative (SARJAI) was established in 2012 as a network of organizations, independent lawyers and legal experts from the region working to advance reproductive rights.
The Center for Reproductive Rights is a global human rights organization of lawyers and advocates who ensure reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights for the dignity, equality, health and well-being of every person.
About the Opportunity
The Center for Reproductive Rights (the Center) invites applications from young lawyers, youth advocates, and development sector professionals working on sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and allied themes from South Asia, South-East Asia, and other regions of Asia for a 3-day virtual training program on SRHR in April 2023. The training program is a collaboration between the South Asia Reproductive Justice and Accountability Initiative (SARJAI) and the Center.
Eligibility
If you are a lawyer with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience working on human rights, women’s rights, disability rights, LGBTQI+ rights, youth advocate and/or working with young persons, or a development sector professional with 1-3 years experience.
Responsibilities
Working on sexual and reproductive health rights and allied themes and/or keen to understand better the key issues that impact access to SRHR and to network with lawyers and practitioners from within the Asia region.
