We are pleased to invite contributions for an upcoming edited book titled “Disruptive Technologies and the Law” which will be published by a reputed publisher. This book aims to provide a comprehensive and cutting-edge exploration of the latest developments, challenges, and breakthroughs presented the emergence of Disruptive Technology. The Editors view Disruptive Technologies as innovations that significantly alter or revolutionize existing industries, markets, and paradigms by introducing new products, services, or processes that challenge the status quo and displace established technologies.
SUGGESTED THEMES
We welcome original contributions addressing a wide spectrum of topics related to Disruptive Technologies and their interaction with the law. Chapters may involve a thorough examination based on but not limited to the following broad themes.
• Introduction to Artificial Intelligence as a Disruptive Technology – Setting the legal agenda:
a) Arriving at a legal definition of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges
b) Governance and Regulatory issues surrounding artificial intelligence.
c) Personhood for Artificial Intelligence: Approaches and possible challenges
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
The Editors invite chapters from Professionals working in the fields of Law as well as in Science and Technology, Academics, Doctoral Scholars, and Students. Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts, not exceeding 250 words (including 3-5 keywords) outlining the scope and focus of their proposed chapters. Abstracts should clearly highlight the innovative contribution and relevance to the book’s theme. Upon acceptance of abstracts, the authors will be invited to submit their full chapters.
The chapters must be between 3000 and 6000 words (inclusive of footnotes). Any standard style of citation may be used, however only footnotes must be used. Endnotes are not permitted. Co-authorship of not more than 2 (two) authors is permitted. The Chapter being submitted must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere or must not have been published before.
