DETAILS OF THE OPPORTUNITY :
About the Certificate Course :
The certificate course is intended to give learners an overview of the aspects of maritime law. By doing this
course, learners will be able to better appreciate the practices of maritime law in particular and overall
developments in the field of maritime and shipping industry policy. This will enable the learner to broaden
their horizons in legal practice by adding knowledge of niche areas of law that seldom find sufficient space
in traditional legal curricula.
TARGET AUDIENCE :
Law students or anyone else who is interested in making a career
commercial maritime law field.
STUDY MATERIAL :
The course instructor(s) will share the list of suggested readings in the form of a
soft copy.
ASSESSMENT :
On the last day of the course, an assessment will be carried out in which 50 MCQs
will be asked. Every learner is supposed to secure at least 50% marks to qualify to
get the certificate of the course.

RRU Students and Faculty members | Rs. 1000 + GST
Non-RRU Students and other participants | Rs. 4000 + GST
Non-RRU students having Merit Fellowship | Rs. 2500 + GST
Non-RRU students having Merit Cum Means Fellowship | Rs. 2000 + GST

How to apply for scholarship?
Those who are eligible for partial scholarship are required to
submit a ‘Statement of Purpose’ stating their motivation to pursue
this course along with a copy of their academic credentials and
academic recommendations, if any, (not mandatory).
The SOP, Academic Credentials and academic recommendation, if
any, should be submitted to Mr. Ankur Sharma, Assistant Professor,
through email at [email protected] by 26th April, 2024
Fellowship applications are entertained on a ‘Rolling basis’ and we
will be evaluating as they are received on or before the last date
(i.e.) 26 April, 2024.
Note: We will continue to evaluate fellowship applications until all
available fellowship slots for the courses are granted. Thus, we
encourage deserving candidates to apply early for merit and
merit-cum-means fellowships.
Those who are unable to apply on or before the last date and those
who are not shortlisted for scholarship, are advised to apply
directly, pay the full fee and register on or before 1st May, 2024.
*No request for the extension of the last date for scholarship
application shall be entertained.
