About the Competition :

The challenge aims to stimulate students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging them to identify and analyse potential legal, ethical, and moral issues arising from the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on human rights.

The competition will help students develop a deeper understanding of AI’s implications for society and the importance of considering ethical considerations in technological advancements. Through this competition, students will be better equipped to navigate the complex ethical dilemmas that may arise in the field of AI and make informed decisions that prioritize human rights and well-being.
Thus, the organizers seek to promote original thoughts and analysis among students.

AI and Human Rights

 

Who is it for?

  • The competition is open to all UG and PG students.
  • Co-authorship of up to two participants is permitted.
  • Any University / College can send as many entries as possible.

 

Submission Guidelines :

    • The submissions shall include:
    • Hypothetical scenario involving an AI system that infringes on human rights.
    • Scenario must be plausible and grounded in real-world possibilities.
    • Scenario should clearly identify specific human rights violations and the role of the AI system in these violations.
    • Submission must be original.
    • Submission must be in English Language only.
    • It should be submitted in Word/ Docs document format only.
    • Word Limit: 1000 – 1500 words, including details of references made for the scenario.
  • Plagiarism limit: 20%.

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Title: Font Size – 14, Bold, Capital
  • Headings: Font Size – 14, Bold, Capital
  • Content: Font Size – 12
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Line Spacing: 1.5

 

Registration Details :

The participants will have to create a user ID, which will give them access to register for all the events of TechnoVIT’24.

 

Registration Fee :

Single Authorship – Rs. 300 -/-

Co-authorship (Max. 2) is permitted. In case of co-authorship, both must register individually.

 

Important Dates :

  • Last Date of Registration: 15 September 2024
  • Last Date of Submission: 17 September 2024
  • Declaration of Results: 19 September 2024
