About The Organization

The Madhya Pradesh Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P.) was established in the
year 2018 by Madhya Pradesh National University Act24 of 2018, with the object of advancing the cause
of legal education and achieving excellence as a university for imparting value-based legal education.
The university emphasislearning advocacy skills with professional ethics by providing suitable simulation
exercises. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of MP High Court is the Chancellor of the university.

The Centre for Law and Economics (CLE), established under the aegis of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur (M.P). The Centre wasformed with the aim to promote research in the conjoined fields of Economics and Law, and to understand the interdependent relationship that exists between the condition of the Economy and the effect that it subsequently has on the economic laws of the country. It endeavoursto provide solutionsfor the current issues pertaining to Law and Economics.

Details Of The Competition

  • Theme: Evolving Dimensions of Law & Economics
  • Objective: This competition will encourage the studentsto develop their research skills by allowing them to explore the new dimension of the prevailing economic and legal issues of the society.
  • Eligibility: Any student pursuing under-graduate degree from a reputed school/ college/ university is eligible to participate in the Competition
  • Registration Deadline: June 20th, 2023 [11:59 PM]

  • Registration fee: Rs. 250/-. (All the participants will get a hard copy of Certificate and Souvenir)
  • Sub-Themes: The sub-themes are only illustrative.
    • Economic and Legal impact of Work from Home (WFH) policy.
    • Economics and laws relating to Artificial Intelligence.
    • Economics of Intellectual Property Rights.
    • Law and Economics of Tribal Diaspora Development.
    • Economics of gender related laws in India.
  • Submission Deadline: July 30th, 2023 [11.59 PM]
  • Prizes: Winners shall be awarded the following prize money:
    • First Prize: Rs. 21,000/-
    • Second Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
    • Third Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
    • Merit Certificates: Top ten submissions will also be given merit Certificates.
  • Declaration of Results: August 21st, 2023
  • Co-Authorship:
    • Co-authorship, up to two people, is allowed.
    • Any previously published entry would not be permitted.
    • Copyright of the submission shall remain with CLE.
    • In case of any conflicts, CLE shall be the final authority on the guidelines.
    • In case a participant is submitting an assignment/project, which has been submitted to their university’s Turnitin repository, CLE requires the participants to submit the associated Turnitin report via email indicating that the plagiarism percent islessthan 15%.
  • Participation Certificate: Distribution of the certificates will be done within 15 days from the date of declaration of the results.
