Details Of The Opportunity:

  • Post: Post-doctoral researcher in European and/or Comparative Labour Law
  • Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract 24 Month
  • Work Hours: Full Time 40.0 Hours per Week
  • Location: Kirchberg
  • Salary: The yearly gross salary for every Postdoctoral Researcher at the UL is EUR 83099 (full time)
  • Role: The postdoctoral researcher will be working under the supervision of Professor Luca Ratti. In particular, the Postdoctoral Researcher will be in charge of:
    • Realising his/her research project in the field of European and/or Comparative Labour Law
    • Publishing articles in scientific reviews and contribute to conferences
    • Contributing to ongoing research projects and project applications
    • Publication of articles in scientific reviews and contributions to conferences
    • Assisting with teaching activities and contribute to tutoring students
  • Required Qualification: We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in Law, preferably with a specialization in Labour Law. (N.B. applications from PhD candidates who will have started their final year of doctoral studies before that date may be considered). In particular, the following requirements apply:
    • Excellent knowledge of European and/or comparative labour law. Applicants with a good combination of theoretical, normative, and empirical research are particularly welcome to apply
    • Proven ability to autonomously conduct research at a post-doctoral level
    • Good IT skills
    • Proven ability to work individually as well as part of a team
    • Have the linguistic skills to evolve in a multilingual environment: fluency in either English or French, good understanding of the second language and possibly a third language, German in particular, will be considered an advantage
    • Excellent communication and writing skills
