ABOUT SASTRA

Security & Scientific Technical Research Association (SASTRA), is a national security incubator, established by Rashtriya Raksha University. SASTRA’s primary objective is to facilitate engagements across four diverse domains- academia, industry, innovators and the government for innovation, incubation and technology acceleration in the space of national security and policing. The agenda is to accelerate India towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat and Atmasurakshit Bharat.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning and Strategy: Developing project plans, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and establishing project timelines and milestones.

• Leadership and Team Management: Leading and managing project teams, assigning tasks, providing direction and guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Communication: Communicating effectively with stakeholders, team members, and management, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

• Resource Management: Allocating resources effectively, including budget, personnel, and materials, and ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently to meet project goals.

• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize the impact on project outcomes, as well as proactively addressing issues as they arise.

• Quality Assurance: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to project requirements, conducting quality reviews, and implementing corrective actions as needed.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Engaging with project stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, and end-users, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

• Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring project progress against established goals and timelines, tracking key performance indicators, and preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.

• Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts that may arise during the course of the project, employing effective problem-solving techniques to keep the project on track.

• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery and achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness.

ELIGIBILITY:

Education: Masters Degree in relevant field. Ph.D will be preferred

Experience:

○ Minimum 20 years of experience in project management/ academic leadership and mentoring.

APPOINTMENT TYPE:

● Initial contract of one year and subject to the effectiveness of the fulfilment of the goals of the Centre and the performance, the contract will be renewed.

REMUNERATION:
